Hey Julz, love that wonderful texture in this painted effect.
Will add the link in case anyone is wondering where the challenge is – hope that’s ok. Found you by the tag 🙂

Ha ha.. nope I couldn’t tell you’re new – you’re doing really great!!!
Yep…link up to my post please 😀 That way others can find you – and your visitors can find the challenge and others doing the same thing.
Hope this makes sense.
Being new to blogging, if you have any questions please ask 🙂 I’ll be happy to help if I can!!

OK first question how do i link back to you and where, or do i just mention and add a hyperlink?

No probs… create your link when writing a post.
Within your post, on the toolbar bar – there is a Paper clip icon and a broken Paper clip Icon.
Write the text you want to add the link to… highlight it… click on the Paper clip icon and this will bring up another panel… add your chosen URL in there… follow the prompts.
Hope this makes sense.

Yes, for the challenge, you’ll link back to each related post – eg. week 2 post to week 2 post – this will leave a ping back (link) in my comments.
Feel free to try it if you like 🙂

Love the warmth and the texture of week one, and now the softness of week 2, while retaining texture.

A very nice edit, it’s interesting how both soft and strong textures work well for this image. Love your gallery video, nice idea.

Amazing difference between the two versions. Love the “in your face” edit of week 1 as well as the more subtle and textured approach in week 2. Great idea to have the images cycling through at the end.

Oh I really liked this second treatment, took me a moment to see the oil painting effect, and despite the fact I am not really a fan of textures, it REALLY works here, and I much prefer the lighter processing. Great job!

I like the idea of creating an oil picture from the image, although the filter is good i feel it has over powered some of the finer features in the elephant.

Hi Benroewf64, thanks for you input, sometimes it’s hard to know where to draw the line when using filters like this. I guess I did this challenge to get a different perspective on various post processes.
