In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “A Plot of Earth.”
You’re given a plot of land and have the financial resources to do what you please. What’s the plan?
I guess it really does depend on how big and where it is situated. If it’s near a nuclear reactor I probably wouldn’t do much, maybe plant some trees to try and combat any carbon emissions (do nuclear sites have any carbon emissions, excuse my ignorance there), or perhaps a brown coal plant, but I really do not know much about those things, and it’s off topic a bit………so lets press on.
Near a National Park or Forest, I would probably build myself a little escape shack, some where to get away from it all and spend my days hiking through beautiful bush land or curled up in front of the open fire with a good book.
Near a coastal area, I would build myself a summer holiday shack, somewhere I can go for a swim, potter around in a coastal garden, search through rock pools, watch the sunset, have BBQ on the beach, that sort of thing.
Near the city, perhaps if it had an old building to restore, or create a beautiful garden people can enjoy. I would probably not live there, I am not a big city person.
Now if it was in suburbia, somewhere near where I currently live, I would build myself a house, not a giant big one (too much cleaning lol), but big enough where 4 adults can spread out, or perhaps my adult children can have the house we are currently in and Moth & I can have the new one! With beautiful gardens to potter around in and take photos of.
I am a simple person, with simple needs; give me something pretty to look at and take pictures of, some where comfy to sleep and some where with peace and quiet I can hide away from the world if I so wish, or alternatively I can have Friends and family around too.
