Love is WHERE my People are

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “I Want to Know What Love Is.”

We each have many types of love relationships — parents, children, spouses, friends. And they’re not always with people; you may love an animal, or a place. Is there a single idea or definition that runs through all the varieties of “love”?

It’s fairly simple, Love is WHERE my people are. My house is my home because it is where all my family is, including my animals. My friends and family encompass that love and support, so my Home is in that mythical place as well. It’s more a feeling of belonging and support more than a physical place. I could move house tomorrow and it would all come with me.

I can travel overseas and I still take a little of that away with me, even if the people (and animals) are not actually with me. I guess my main focus is Moth (as much as he usually drives me nuts), where ever I am with him is HOME.

I have place and people I adore, and I guess they could be involved with all that encompasses HOME, but at the same time if I did not have my family, friends and animals no place would be home. A fellow blogger quoted to me the other day,

A Home without dogs is just a house – Leya

That is true of Cats, Birds (any animal really) and of course your friends and family, or in my case my close friends are my family!
