Monochrome Madness 2-10

This week’s monochrome Madness is an image from my shoot last weekend in Melbourne. A few of us met up before dawn to shoot the sunrise over the Yarra River. Unfortunately the sunrise was not that great this morning, but we had plenty of other delights to shoot instead. Melbourne is actually really rather pretty just before dawn, with the city lights reflecting in the water. The river was very calm and there was no wind, it was a great morning and I got some great shots.

Now I know technically it is not monochromatic, but the pre dawn grey colors almost make it appear B&W and the subtle highlights of reflection and lights give it that touch of color, that pops.
