Tales from the Shoot – Couples, Cute Kids, Trains and Magical Mystery Tours

I actually wrote a whole post about my Couples shoot, however I re and re read, it was actually quite boring and very hum drum. So I won’t really go into it that much, nor do I want to bore everyone with another post about cute kids shoots, don’t get me wrong I love doing them, but I figure you all don’t want to hear about them, unless something hilarious happens! So S&K have just got engaged………..sweet huh? S found me on Facebook, so that is great; this is not a friend of a friend of a friend situation. I do not know them from a bar of soap. So I really wanted to make a good impression. They were actually the first people I had in the studio after I got rid of the gym…….so they got to enjoy a much roomier environment.

They did not know what they really wanted nor what to expect, so it was good that I had done a shooting schedule, with some images for ideas. We started off really simple, they seemed like a really fun couple so I decided to have some fun with them and we did some not so formal poses………..I honestly think these often become the best photos. See sometimes a shooting schedule can be a great place to start, but don’t be afraid to break away from it if you feel you can. The point is to give the client, natural, beautiful images, not completely faked staged shots.

NB – I did learn something from this shoot…………I need more light, my Umbrellas do not provide quite enough light. And yes there were more romantic close up and images were you can see their faces, but you don’t really need to :-). I just thought these images were fun and sweet and a little different.

I also went out on another Meetups to the Train Cemetery, will do another post soon on this, have soooooooo many images to go through.

Aarrg-Here is one cute kids pic, just in case you missed them lol……………aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggg beware Pirates.

Til next time, happy snapping
