In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Futures Past.”
When I was a kid, I had a teacher who traveled, she went to Egypt and brought back photos, items and stories which spurned my young brain on a lifetime of fascination about anything and everything from ancient Egypt – have I ever actually been to Egypt, no but it on my bucket list. But a side note of this was I wanted to be an archaeologist……..and adventurer, an explorer. An Indiana Jones in tight shorts and a safari shirt tied at my waist (in my daydreams I looked like super model!)
I had no real idea of the study involved in archaeology…..and as the years went by, my dreams faded. I want to dig in the dirt and make amazing discoveries, but not all the study. I wish now I had stuck with it, there are so many fascinating places around the world, I may have seen. Granted I would not be where I am now, it’s altogether possible I would never have met Moth and had my two beautiful daughters, and those are something I would not trade for all the tea in China, sand in Egypt & gold in the South America.
And then there is this little gem about Growth Pangs, I thought it was very sweet, but very honest as well, or even Jack of all Trades……….sounds familiar as well
Until next time……………happy snapping
