Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge this week is Flowers. This is a macro shot of a winter Protea “King White”. The Protea is a very old plant found on several continents including Australia and Africa, you can learn a little more about them here. This one is just starting to open, but is quite large.
Protea cynaroides
The King protea is the most popular variety, having one of the largest flower heads in the protea family. They are stunning in the garden, on the patio and in flower arrangements.
Until next time, happy snapping
