Spent most of the week at work getting things sorted for while I am off work, so that was fairly busy. We had yet another glorious weekend of Spring weather, it really does feel, some days that the veil of winter has been lifted, alas it comes back for a visit this week apparently. But while it was stunning we made the most of it.
Tulips and Dragons……
I spent Saturday with a friend of mine and we visited Tesselaar’s Tulip Festival, it was a glorious spring day, sun was shinning and their was barely a cloud to be seen. The tulips were a riot of colours, so many colours, I had no idea. So many different types, colours, shapes. There was also Dutch food, Folk Dancing, Music, market stalls; such a festival atmosphere. We had scones for morning tea and marveled at even more flowers afterwards. In the gardens (yes there are also gardens as well as fields of tulips) they had daffodils and many other blooms. Will do a full post soon.
After we left the Tulip farm we went into Olinda for a walk around the shops, a lovely leisurely lunch at the Bakery, followed by a lovely long drive home (lot’s of chatting along the way), finished off with coffee……….such a fabulous day.
Saturday evening, hasty arrangements were made with some fellow photographers to shoot the Dragon’s Head at low tide the following day……….this glorious weather is too hard to ignore, so up early again, and my battered knee tortured as we climbed the rocks to capture the Dragon. Will post more images once I have had a chance to edit them all
That’s it for now, I will spend most of this week resting and editing when I can……….til then, happy snapping
