Alowyn Gardens
Alowyn Gardens

Despite the month being completely hectic, this past week has actually been a little quiet, just as well……the week ahead is sure to be exhausting. On the weekend I visited Alowyn Gardens, a lovely little French vineyard in the Yarra Valley, the wisteria and lavender were just past full bloom (a little disappointing) and the gardens were divine (Future post to come). I met up with a few other ‘Tog’s as we strolled the lawns and various gardens and had a coffee in the cafe, so it was actually a lovely relaxing day. I was originally planning another outing on Sunday, but my knee still isn’t up for a hike (stroll yes, hike no), so I made my excuses……….I will hopefully get there another time.

Picnic DinnerThe Wedding, Final preparations, shot lists, dress fitting, rehearsals all done. It happens on Saturday……..so I guess I will spend this week biting my nails and stressing about everything!

Busy, busy, busy….I know I have said that October is fully booked out with various things; outings, portraits and of course the Wedding, but it now looks like November is going to be jammed packed. I have just added to me schedule the Day of the Dead celebrations (OK, so that’s 31st October), There is a French Festival in November, the Melbourne Zombie Shuffle is back on again, the Frankston Lights Festival ( I keep saying every year I will go, hopefully this year I will get the chance).

Photoshop Artistry Course, I have seen a few fellow bloggers and photographers doing this Grunge Artistry course, with some amazing results, and it was something I really wanted to look into. For my birthday, my daughters gave me the money to pay for it; and then the Aussie dollar plummeted 😦 I was devastated. So I just waited biding my time, then I noticed a Facebook discount advert, I decided the hell with it, I want this, so I jumped. I have only done a few modules, but I do not regret 1c spent, it is amazing, I have learnt so much already. I thought I was actually fairly OK with Photoshop, but oh the tips, the tricks, how to apply all these to my photos…….WOW! I can’t wait to start showing some pieces; but patience is required. I am going to force myself to slow down, enjoy and absorb EVERYTHING! I am not going to rush this, I want to take my time and create some true magic.

Not much more to add…………I hope you all have enjoying week and of course, happy snapping
