One Four Challenge – November, Week 1

November One Four Challenge is now being hosted by Nic, while Robyn takes a break. Still the same challenge; take one image and process it a different way each week. I thought I would do something a little different this month (Don’t I always? 🙂 ).

Not just a simple old truck, it comes with a story! I stumbled upon it I was while out scouting locations for a wedding! I fell in love with it and just had to get a pic. It was however on Private Property, you know the foreboding kind? So what do I do? I sneak onto private property to get the shot. I am getting into position (there are several old trucks and other stuff), click, grab the shot, then I hear the dogs growling and barking, I keep clicking, the dogs are getting closer! Then I realised they were not on chains or anything!!…………..I then ran like hell as they chased me, all the way back to the car, I only manage to jump into the car and slam the door as they reached me. Huffing and Puffing (dodgy knee and all) with the dogs staring at me through the window, once they realised I was out of reach they ran off again, Oh  and Moth you ask? HE sat safely in the car laughing at me!! Such a gentleman………..surely he should have raced to my rescue? Still I got the photo!

Processing – Cropped, a few adjustment layers, added some texture and a vignette and that is pretty much it……………keeping it simple for the first week.

Just proves we photographers will endure just about anything for a pic! Oh and the dogs? No photos of them! 🙂

Til next time, happy snapping
