So I have been expanding my skills with an online Photoshop Artistry course, learning a lot and having so much fun. I thought I would take a little of what I am learning and use it on this month’s One Four Challenge (Currently hosted by Nic).
So this week I took the a copy of Original image, cropped it and using various artistic filters and brushes I turned it into a old look-a-like watercolor effect (I think it ended up more grunge than water colour?). I then placed this on a paper look background and removed some of the image with a few layer masks. Followed with an adjustment layer or too to alter brightness and saturation. Added a scratched up distressed texture over the top and finished with a hit and miss frame.
I was quite happy with the end result, it looks like a really old photo. Click here to view last week’s variation. Or see below Slide Show (along with the Original)
Til next time, happing snapping…….

It may not be watercolor looking, but I do like the grungy look + the old timey look. Very cool. 😀

It really does like like an antique photo found up in someone’s attic. Great work!
