Manic Mondays

I feel like I spent most of last week end and all last week stuck on the Computer and up until Saturday I really only did one shoot (My Natural Light Workshop – but more on that later in the week). So this weekend, just gone was a real change of pace. We had to pick Daughter No.2 up at the airport after a few weeks away, nice to have her home.

Saturday I hosted my first MPE Excursion at Cloude Hill Gardens in Olinda, just gorgeous. It turned out to be a very popular event and I had a whole crowd turn up, in fact two crowds, another (Facebook) group asked if they could join my group for the day. Busy! Great weather and no mishaps so it was a lovely morning, followed by a lovely lunch and then an Impromptu shoot of the Puffing Billy Trestle bridge in Selby. We then said our farewells and Moth and I continued onto Emerald Park Lake, for a lovely relaxed stroll around the lake, it was wonderful, but tiring.

Sunday We were up early again to Go out to the other side of the city, for a waterside and a street art shoot. We first went to Studley Park Boat House and wandered around the whole area, truly stunning spot – right in the heart of Melbourne. We then went to a nearby weir for some more pics, ran out of time and will do the planned street walk another day. . Followed by a Meet Up with a fellow Blogger; Desley from (Musing of a Frequent Flying Scientist) for Brunch in the City and a brief walk along South Bank  and we did visit Hosier Lane and AC/DC Lane in the city for a street art fix. Off then to the 2016 Fairy Rade (Also more on that later)…………followed up by coming home to collapse; it’s been a rather hectic and warm weekend, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Now……….to edit all the pics! Here is just a few.

This week is so far is looking quiet, but that always seems to change. I have a model shoot on Friday for more of my own artistic endeavours, but more on that next week. I have lots of things in the pipe works for later this month and for next month, including not one but possibly two Astro Shoots, as well as Fireworks, Lotus Gardens, City Night Shoots and even a Ghost tour of an old Gaol (Jail). I love Summer, we have to enjoy as much of it as we can, especially considering January and Early February is the best weather, it starts getting incredibly hot mid Feb and March. Then we suddenly see a cool change in April and it becomes winter overnight. I survived last winter and will survive this year as well, just not as nice as summer!

Well that about it for now, til next time, safe travels and happy snapping……..
