Manic Mondays

Did I mention it was yet another long weekend? Yep four whole days to do whatever I wish…………so of course we grabbed our cameras and headed out (after I had finished my assignments for Creative B&W of course). Friday night was a mix of learning and play, a friend came over to model for me, such a champ, we were trying our hand at some very artsy, creative ideas and playing again with lighting, I was also experimenting with my speedlite (not as easy as they make it sound).

But more on all this shoot another time, Saturday we headed back up into the Dandenongs, for a quick stop at the Wood Carving Comp (we went last year too), again the entries are superb. Then we went to investigate a spot we didn’t even know existed, almost in our own backyard. Mount Burnett Observatory………..wow. They had their Open Day and we chatted to many of the members, it is a community run telescope. We need to come back and visit during one of the Astro Shoots! Then we headed off to Gembrook, just for a look………..it’s been a long time since we’ve been there. Sleepy little town, not much happening.

Sunday was a quiet day. I went out with ‘The Girls’, ate too much, spent too much and had a few drinks………….so all in all a good day! That brings me to today and today’s very late post. I bit the bullet and went and got my sensor cleaned; $120 later and  no more dirty sensor. See pretty pictures, no smears and healing brush required! Yay. We stopped in at Abbottsford Convent for a coffee and a test run on the way home.

Well that’s about it for now, tomorrow Australia celebrates Australia Day, so we are off to celebrate with some Tog friends………….enjoy what ever you are doing.

Aussie, Aussie, Aussie………….Oi, Oi, Oi……………..to anyone else, G’Day Mate!
