One Four Challenge – May Week 2

Last week were back to our weekly WP Scheduled Post for One Four Challenge , I took a photo showing the devastation that the droughts have caused in Rural Victoria (as in many other states in Australia and various parts in the world in general).Last week, I emphasised the desperation of these desolate dry arid landscapes.

This week I wanted to add a little hope and made the cracked dry earth a little less obvious and placed a beautiful rose over the top. I was inspired by a song by artist Sting, title Desert Rose

I dream of rain
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in vain
I dream of love as time runs through my hand

This desert rose
Each of her veils, a secret promise
This desert flower
No sweet perfume ever tortured me more than this
