While the studio is completed and we have finished painting and I am yet to finish moving everything back in, and so, I have not had much of a chance to shoot any still life in there. Instead for this week I thought I would share some Natural Still Life I took on a recent trip. It’s Winter here in Australia, which means cold conditions, but not too much snow (apart from higher elevations). There are still a few Autumn leaves hanging around and the Mushrooms and Toadstools are out. The air is frigid and dew is frozen in the early morning air, crisp, cold but beautiful to look at.
I am not a Winter person, I really do not like being cold, but I can appreciate this frigid landscape and all it’s beauty and joy, just make sure there is a hot cup of coffee and a warm shower waiting for me when I’m done 🙂
Til next time, stay warm, travel safe and happy snapping…
~ Julz
P.S. I have found some wonderful new treasures to use in my still life, will hopefully post some shortly.

Love the toadstool. Today it is a lot warmer than it should be, but raining.

I’ve never seen a mushroom like that. Now, I heard there’ll be snow in the hills this weekend. How far would I have to go to see it?? I like this little departure from your “usual” still life. But looking forward to seeing your new treasures too 😊😊😊

Hmmmnnnn I wonder if it’s worth risking hail damage to the car lol. I just read the reports… Apparently sleet in the hills and nothing above 11 degrees in Melbourne til the middle of next week.

Hmmnn tempting…. Yes I haven’t had the camera out for a while, except half a day in Sydney last week. I haven’t sat and done macro stuff, I really miss that….
