I know July hasn’t even finished yet and the One Four Challenge is still currently on Flickr, but I thought I would share the wondrous transformation of this image the first I ran through Nik Viveza…….I love the high key softness, undersaturated colours
Now this final image I have used so many different layers, filters, plug ins, I honestly cannot remember where one started and the other finished……I love the soft pencil like effect which was mostly Topaz Adjust pencil effects (I think), then I hand painted (with a Wacom Tablet) the highlights and shadows on her body and the bed and curtains. I think the face requires a little more work before I am done, perhaps a little more detail to bring out her features; but so far I am thrilled with the rest of it.
Have you ever taken a picture, and then played with it, to see how many different variation, styles, looks, moods and feel you can create? Til next time, happy snapping…

It’s loads of fun Helen, you should, even just a weekend of play and you will learn so much

I need to discipline myself to note down what I’m doing so that if I like any particular process, I have some idea of how it came about. I always say I’ll do this, but a 5 minute play can go on for hours! Thanks for your encouragement. 😊

I am the same, but now after a lot of serious ‘play’ I can usually figure out what processes I used

I do try different moods….it’s fun! I love the first one here the most though. Perfection!

Thanks yeah it’s a plug I have never used before on the first image, I quite like it and will use it more often for this type of shots and possibly portraits as well, so soft and dreamy, yet still detailed
