Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – Jump Rope

Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week is Jump Rope, again it must be a cultural or at least a provence thing…here is Australia we call it a skipping Rope, not Jump Rope, although I supposed Jump Rope is probably a better term. I loved the rope as a girl, even more fun was elastics……..does anyone know what that is? It’s kind of like Extreme Jump Rope lol, I believe many schools here have banned it, as it is considered too dangerous. Oh My everything is too dangerous these days, most of us 70’s kids survived……it cannot have been too bad, could it?

I seriously could not find a photo of my own with jumping or skipping or rope; so here is one from Pixabay

And a cute one of my dog Chloe as compensation 🙂 !

  1. That’s where my puppy went mmm! Joking of course, beautiful photo! A haiku you inspired, and very old skipping rhyme. Take care, best wishes – Mick

    ~~~~JOY BANNED~~~
    hip hip hip hurray
    the joy of a skipping rope
    banned dangerous fear
    A skipping rope rhyme:
    Had a little puppy
    His name was Tiny Tim
    I put him in the bath tub to see if he could swim
    He drank all the water, he ate a bar of soap
    The next thing you know he had a bubble in his throat
    In comes the Doctor, (person jumps in)
    In comes the nurse, (person jumps in)
    In jumps the lady with the alligator purse, (person jumps in)
    Out went the Doctor, (person jumps out)
    Out went the nurse, (person jumps out)
    Out went the lady with the alligator purse, (person jumps out)
    Starts again from the beginning.
