Does your first or middle name have any significance (or were you named after another family member)? Ann…..my middle name is Ann (No E), I don’t think there was ever any real significance, just seemed to go with Julie. There were a LOT of JulieAnn’s around when I was a kid.
Music or silence while working? It always used to be music, but after a houseful of kids and animals and Xbox games, their loud music and the never ending TVs on in our house, these days it is quiet. If there is no one home I turn everything OFF. I like to sit outside in the quiet with a cuppa and my journal and think. Sometimes I have music on when I am creating, but honestly, once I am in the zone the music can stop and I don’t even notice.
If you had a special place for your three most special possessions (not including photos, electronics, people or animals), what would they be? Well you pretty much ruled everything else out. My Journal, sits beside me on the desk or in my bag. My wedding, engagement and eternity rings sit on my fingers, I have a jewellry box for other treasures (Nan’s engagement ring) my most special possessions apart from those are my family (furry and non), my camera gear and my PC.
The Never List: What are things you know you never will do? This is kind of hard……sounds silly, but things I thought I would never, ever do – I have now actually done! Never, ever thought you would get me in a Helicopter; done it. Stood in front of a window in a high rise building/lookout – done it (albeit my back was to the window). So most things I would have said never ever…….are doubtful, but not impossible.
In saying that, I don’t think I could ever hurt, maim or kill someone. I would never drive drunk. I don’t think I could live somewhere really, really cold (I’m talking below 10C).
Optional Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? I am still on a creative high from the Alice shoot I did the week before, that is one shoot, that just keeps on giving. I am also grateful for the art I do, the friends I have made, the things I have learnt and places travelled. This weekend, we are off on another adventure, into the Australian Outback. We are going to places Moth and I have never been, or to places I have not been in so long, I can no longer recall them. Ten days of dust, flies, mosquitoes, kangaroos and and never ending open road. Can’t wait!
