This week mark’s my 50th year on this planet, my oh my, where has the time gone? I have spent the last few days on maintenance….it’s almost as painful as it sounds. I have a frozen shoulder, so I had a rather large cortisone injection yesterday to help that, still aching and bruised! Tonight I need to go and have our vaccinations for Bali…more pain 😦 I had x-rays and scans done of my hips last week only to find out they are full of arthritis (just like my spine and knees) and a double hip replacement is in my possible future as well as the knees. Oh please, can stell cell research sort this out in the next 5-10 years, please??????? Apart from all that, great week.
What color do you feel most comfortable wearing? I like bright colors, but not on me, I am normally found in black and white, or muted browns. I am a shocker for spilling things on myself, so me and white or light colors do not go well, coffee, food, honestly, completely hopeless. I will on occasion wear bright colors, special in Summer, hot pinks, red, blue. Just depends on my mood and the occasion.
What is your favorite type of dog? (can be anything from a specific breed, a stuffed animal or character in a movie) A real one! I love dogs, I currently have two, frequently have had two, but have spent all my adult life with at least one. We used to have larger dogs, boxer, Australia heeler (Cattle Dogs), then we down sized to Jack Russels, but now I have the perfect lap dog, I have a Pom, Maltese cross, and Cavelier King Charles. The Cavvy is almost the perfect breed, cool, calm, excellent to train, great with strangers and kids, very sweet natured, not destructive, bone lazy and loves to cuddle. However, they have severe health issues and can be quite costly, we have been lucky our boy has no cranial problems and only a slight heart murmur, no hip problems, but he did rupture his ACL (knee) last year and that is also a common complaint. He had surgery and is as good as new. The Little one…well she is cute and cuddly (with us), she is anti social and yaps at everyone and everything. Small dog syndrome, but I love her to bits
List at least five favorite flowers or plants. As far as flowers go; Magnolia, Dahlia, Roses, Cosmos, Tulips, and Gerbera. With regards to plants in my garden; Protea, Grevillea, bottle brush, bird of paradise, yuccas, and Kangaroo Paw.
What inspired you this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination. Honestly, work! Sick isn’t it? I have picked up a contract job and it has filled me with great pride and pleasure to be actually able to do something useful in my intended field of graphic design. My day job is still completely hopeless with very little to do, so I am attempted to get some extra work to fill in the gaps. It has actually kept me quite busy, and it is a fairly big job, but something I can sink my teeth into.
My 50th Birthday is on Saturday, as I mentioned early, but nothing flashy, no big party, I just could not be bothered, just spending the weekend with family, one of our last before my youngest daughter moves into State. Then dinner with friends on Saturday Night.
Yes, I know this is dated 6th and today is the 7th, but I have been quite busy. Want more info on SYW? visit Cee’s page. I hope you all have a great week…

Yay, Julz, there is much more to celebrate, isn’t it? And this frozen shoulder and other injuries are your certificates of acquired wisdom.
Oh well, just thinking positively.
@desleyjane : speed up stem cells research!
I had frozen shoulder and what really helped was acupuncture. Cortisone and all other bs are just palliatives.
Get well soon!
And happy birthday in advance.
