Layered Rock and Timber

I have not one but two series for this week’s Weekly Photo Challenge – Layers. Firstly this old timber bridge I photographed last weekend, so many intricate layers of timber to make this exquisite (yet falling down) railway bridge.

Next is the amazing layers in these rock formations, found in Heathcote, Victoria (AUS). Make primarily of Pink Clay, Gold Miners dug up this whole region during the Gold Rush. There are also huge boulders of Iron Stone as well.
