Would you rather take a 2-week vacation with an organized tour or take a cruise of your choice? Well, it all depends, if it was an organized Photography travel tour I think I would most probably take that. I have always wanted to do a photographic tour, I have friends who have done it and highly recommend it, a local who knows all the good spots. When it comes to standard holidays I generally prefer to organize them myself, most organized tours rush you in and rush you out, they do not give you enough time (In my opinion), to really see and experience the richness or glory or scenic beauty of any particular place. I like to explore on my own and find the hidden gems. On the other hand, I have always wanted to go on a cruise ship.
Did you like swinging as a child? Do you still get excited when you see a swing? Isn’t it funny, I know I remember swinging as a child, but I can’t seem to recollect if I got excited about it. I think I was more of a Monkey Bars girl or the Whizzy Dizzy wheel (you know the one you spin on), also my bicycle, I remember loving my Bike, even when I fell off it 🙂
What is the most important thing that you ever learned ? (I bet it’s not something you learned in school)To trust my gut and believe in myself and NO, I never learned that in school. I was always so busy trying to fit in, I never really understood that being your own person and being true to oneself is far more important.
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination. I always have something on the go, that will probably never change, this past weekend was no exception.
On Sunday with ten models/actors and nine other photographers, we hired a large photographic studio and recreated an Addams Family styled Wedding scene. We had Morticia and Gomez, Lurch, Fester and Grandma, Thing made a brief appearance as well. We had a Bride and Groom and a Bridesmaid, the one who completely stole the show was little Brooklyn Garrett who played Wednesday Addams, such an amazing look-a-like, such a fabulous scowl. Nothing was beyond her tender years, she worked with every photographer and every model, she never complained, she understood each concept or pose and took great delight (scarily so) on chopping off Dolly’s head with a very sharp knife or scissors (and never hurt herself or anyone else). She happily drank from poison marked bottles (with colored water), and allowed Lurch (a complete stranger) to pick her up like a rag doll. This girl is going to take the world by storm one day.
Well, that is it for this week, I have so many amazing images from this photo shoot and another I did on Monday as well…but they will have to wait.
Have an amazing week.
