Regular Random – Cupcake Reflections

I get a bit stir crazy on holidays and just start looking for random things to do, sad isn’t it, I mean what’s wrong with picking up a good book? I just cannot seem to do it when I get really, really bored. So I had this leftover cupcake and decided to play with some reflections. The first images (Up close) are shot with 16mm extension tubes on the 16-200mm lens on the Sony ISO100, f/11, the others are 50mm prime on the Sony F/1.8

These were all taken on black perspex with direct light from the window behind, making the black perspex look like a mirror.

If you would like to join in theΒ RegularRandomΒ challenge, here are the rules:

  • choose a subject or a scene
  • spend five minutes photographing it – no more!
  • try to not interfere with the subject, instead see it from many angles, look through something at it, change the light that’s hitting it
  • have fun!
  • tag your post #regularrandom and ping back to this post or Desley’s page
