I am barely coming to grips with the whole 2018 and now we are already half way through January! I feel like I am just starting to sort my self out and have been in planning mode all week. Seems like 2018 may fly as fast as 2017.
Complete this sentence: I’m looking forward to…Getting back into the studio and getting back to work on some core series, ie Dapper Rabbit and The Tarot, both of them have been put on the back burner, but now it is time to dust them off and get going again. I also have a new model coming in soon, so another fresh face.
What is your favorite comfort snack food? Dare I say FOOD? Chocolate, chips (Crisps), cookies, especially cream filled one (I know I should not be eating them anyway, but oooh I cannot resist, dip them in chocolate and I am a lost cause.
What was one of your first moneymaking jobs (other than babysitting or newspaper delivery)? I worked as a casual in a McDonalds Restaurant, after school, and then full time for a little while. Til I got my first ‘real’ job in a bank (which I hated!)
What inspired you or what did you appreciate this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination. Just getting on with it really, last week I spent most of it floundering, feeling a little lost and then getting a little angry with myself for wasting time, then giving myself permission to just be and do nothing. Once I gave in to that and not felt guilty, things started to move forward again. I set this week aside to begin planning for the upcoming weeks. Shoots arranged, models booked, costumes arranged, props ordered, scripts and new shoots planned. It feels wonderful to be getting organized again.
I even managed to finish this piece for the Tarot, The Wheel of Fortune. I started it months ago and was never happy with it, was over thinking it I think. I stepped away from it and removed so much ‘stuff’ from within the image, keep it simple and to the point. To give myself permission to create and explore and have fun.
