Regular Random – 5 Minutes with my new Planner

I recently wrote a post about my introduction to the world of Planners, I had decided, as it seems to be the thing to do, I would set up a little mini Still Life session. It was later in the afternoon, soft gorgeous light coming in through the studio window, the more I use both my window and my Sony camera with the 50mm or the 28-70mm lens I am falling further and further in love. True the sharpness of the Nikon is not there, but something else has taken its place. A romance, soft, pretty, amazing depth of field and dynamic range. For Still Life and Glamour portraits, there is a wistful elegance to the images, everything is still perfectly in focus, but lovely and soft. But, I am rambling…I will do a post on the Sony camera soon, for now here is my 5 minutes with my new ‘Full in love with your Life Planner’ & my cup…

I pushed the backlit to make everything hazy and soft and indistinct, normally I would not go this far, but it helps hide my hideous scrawl writing 🙂

Fancy joining the RegularRandom brigade?! Jump on board. Here’s how:

  • choose a subject or a scene
  • spend five minutes photographing it – no more!
  • try to not interfere with the subject, instead see it from many angles, look through something at it, change the light that’s hitting it
  • have fun!
  • tag your post #regularrandom and ping back to this post or Desley’s page
