Last week I featured some more of my Valentines’ Roses, but dark & moody, this week – even darker, but on some lovely black perspex, for reflection. I also sprayed with some water to keep that just cut fresh look and to stop the flowers wilting (It was quite a hot day). I adore how the water drops reflect on the perspex too.
I used my 50mm Prime and my 28-70mm between F/1.8 and F/4.5, ISO500, 1/200 – 1/60 sec. There are two images with a rather reddish glow, no, not a PS stuff up, I actually shone a torch with red gell over the top, onto the rose.
Fancy joining the RegularRandom brigade?! Jump on board. Here’s how:
- choose a subject or a scene
- spend five minutes photographing it – no more!
- try to not interfere with the subject, instead see it from many angles, look through something at it, change the light that’s hitting it
- have fun!
- tag your post #regularrandom and pingback to this post or to Desley’s page
