Off on another adventure – Tasmania

Tomorrow Moth and I leave for another adventure, this time to Tasmania (bottommost State of Australia), we are taking Black Betty Boo (the AWD Subaru) and all our camera gear for a three-week adventure on the Apple Isle. We have plans for lots of places to visit and things to see and will finally end up in Launceston for a four day get together with my Awake Artistry Buddies from Australia and New Zealand.

We leave in the morning on the Spirit of Tasmania, which is a huge cruising vessel/ferry, leaving from a terminal in Melbourne, it takes approx 9-11 hours depending on the weather to get to Launceston.

I went once on the Spirit and spent a few days in Tasmania, many, many years ago on a food and wine tour. I did not see that much of Tasmania and don’t really count it as a trip there. That is my only encounter and so, so long ago.

Some of the places we plan to visit;

  • Cradle Mountain
  • Bay of Fires
  • Port Arthur
  • Freycinet National Park
  • Tamar & Derwent Valley
  • And so much more

So I will be a little absent over the next few weeks. I possibly will not even have internet access in some of the more remote areas. So if I miss your fabulous posts, I am sorry, due to the number of posts, I probably won’t even be able to look back at many of them. I may get on from time to time, read a few posts, even post an update or two of my own, I sadly doubt I will be able to keep up with the challenges.

But just think in a few short weeks I will be back in action and have some wonderful travel images and stories to tell.

Until then, stay safe and happy, and I will ‘see’ you all soon.
