Between checking and re-printing art for the upcoming exhibition, getting them framed, interviews, and marketing – mix that with two shoots I still have not really looked at and finally editing my photos from Tasmania (well a brief edit on them all anyway), it’s been a busy week. I also gave a private photoshop class on Saturday, attended the 50th birthday of an old school friend, then attended a rather special creative workshop on Sunday. Sounds exhausting just recalling it all. People often ask me how I fit it all in…I have no idea some days.
Well, it’s another Monday and another week. We are setting up the Dapper Rabbit exhibit on Tuesday and then the Open day on Saturday. I am excited and scared and nervous. I have to admit to a few anxious nights. It’s always the same old thing; what if people don’t like it, what if people don’t GET it? What if no-one buys anything? So what…I’ll pick myself back up and keep going. It’s a great experience and good exposure, and who is it harming if its a flop? Only my Pride and Ego. Still, we creative types are a funny bunch.
This week? Well, I am attempting to be a little quieter, as I still have so much work to catch up on, that has taken a back seat the last few weeks. This is a sneak peak of last week’s shoot with a new Model, Zed with the amazing talents of Makeup Artist Ally.
Hopefully, I can bring you more of that soon, as well as the Beauty & The Beast inspired shoot with Jess from the other week. In the meantime, there are still several days of photos and notes from our trip happening. I have been enjoying everyone’s feedback on the photos and places we have been, thank you – it means so much to me.
I hope you all have a fabulous week,
~ Julz, xo
