Share Your World – 10th July 2018

Running a little late today, been a busy beaver πŸ™‚ So onto the questions from Cee

What would you name the autobiography of your life? “Stop the car”, from bad decisions as a teenager/young adult, two pregnancies, to now finding truly fabulous subjects to photograph on the side of the road. I suppose it could also easily be “Stop the World I need to get off” for similar reasons.

Which do you prefer sweet, salty or buttery?Β Oh, that is Hell…I cannot pick, I LOVE them all together! My Achilles heel, my kryptonite – especially things like biscuits (or cookies to those who prefer) with all three ingredients…a ruinous downfall indeed.

What’s the finest education?Β It’s funny, I told my girls it was University, but I actually believe it’s LIFE. Books can tell you some stuff, but I truly believe that it is the life experience that teaches us the most, it teaches us empathy and connection, as well as HOW to do things. Sure I can read how to change a tyre, but until I am shown and do it I have no idea. I also believe that we need to fail in order to learn, just being told what to do and how to do it, teaches us nothing if we do not figure it out for ourselves.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week? Β Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.Β

Friends that kick my butt into action. I am a procrastinator, I just can’t help it. Most people think I am a go-getter and firebrand and (sometimes) an overachiever, but the truth is sometimes I need a little push. I have friends who know me and love me for who I am and in some cases, they are enablers, which is not what we always need. Sometimes you need someone to kick your butt to move out of your comfort zone and move into a better head space or a better creative space or zone. Sometimes you think something is a good idea but just are not 100% sure and you need just a gentle little shove…I had that this week. By more than 1 person and I thank them for it, whether they know it or not. It is all still too new, but I am hoping for some big bright shiny things in the near future…watch this space.

I hope you are having an amazing week, I know I am!
