The weather has been quite cold of late, with the exception being Saturday, which was a glorious Winter’s Day with blue skies, light winds and sunshine, felt so good. So I am rather envious of the Northern Hemisphere and their Summer 🙂
Since we are approaching the hottest part of our summer in the northern hemisphere, what’s your favourite ice-cream, frozen yogurt or sorbet flavour? (Those of you who live down under I’m sure you remember what it is like in the hot summer months). I do remember warmer days, and I long for them to come back (especially Autumn). Sadly being highly lactose intolerant has made many frozen desserts off the menu or at least more difficult to get. I do enjoy a good dairy-free sorbet, particularly lemon, mango or passionfruit. In my ice-cream eating days, it has to be chocolate or rum and raisin…yummy.
How often do you people watch?
I don’t really watch people that often, was my initial response – but I guess that’s just not true. I am a portrait photographer, so I watch people a lot, perhaps more than I realise. On a nice sunny Autumn day, I might sit in a cafe and watch the world go by, so I guess that sort of counts too. If I am getting my hair or nails done I will watch what other people are getting done. So I guess I do watch a fair bit. 🙂 So I need to change my answer to all the time lol.
If you had a choice which would be your preference saltwater beaches, freshwater lakes, ocean cruise, hot tub, ski resort or desert? I adore the ocean but I am not really a sunbaking on a beach kind of person. I have discovered even though I have always wanted to go on a cruise ship, the ferry to Tasmania has probably put me off for life. I own a hot tub and love a good soak, but do not use it as often as I should. We use to use it all the time. Every Friday night was a girls night, with friends and my daughters, chill and melt away the week, catch up on gossip and stuff. I miss those days. These days one daughter is interstate and my other daughter is usually at work or out, just not quite as much fun as it used to be.
What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
After many, many months of following (and being followed) by the designer Krissy Tee, I finally got to meet her in person and photograph her and some of her wonderful costumes and headpieces. It truly was an exceptional day, full of creative energy, joy and laughter, but very relaxed and chill at the same time. I feel myself stepping into myself more and more, as a creative as well as a portrait photographer. They say as you grow you are ‘finding your feet’ I look at my photos and still think, Man how awesome is this, I just created that, where 5 minutes ago there was nothing there. How can you not love a job like that?
Well, I guess that is it for me, I hope you have a glorious week…Oh and don’t forget to visit Cee’ SYW page for more info.
