Recently we had a free afternoon, something I have not had for a while it seems and while the weather was brisk, it was not raining and clouds looked possible for a decent Winter Sunset, a few fellow photographers decided to meet at the Historic Cafe at the end of St Kilda Pier in Melbourne to see if we could capture some magic.
It was incredibly busy for a mid-Winter Saturday Afternoon, and quite chaotic. Some Togs opted for a walk out on the breakwater to capture the foreground, while I decided it was much safer shooting on the pier. The sunset was brief, but pretty with a flash of red.
I managed to remove most of the people from my shots by doing a long exposure. As it really was chilly, we left after about 1.5 hours in need of something and somewhere to warm up. Moth and I had a lovely dinner in a Restaurant right on the water’s edge. We then headed home to curl up on the couch and watch Netflix in the warmth of our loungeroom.
