Regular Random – Spring Daffodils

Yesterday was the first day of Spring for us Aussies, So I celebrated with a friend, by spending the whole afternoon in the studio with some fresh spring flowers; in particular Daffodils.

I had also borrowed a 50mm Macro lens to play with for the day, I am deciding whether to get a 50mm, 60mm or 90mm macro for my Sony. There probably is not a lot of difference between the 50mm and the 60mm, although I believe the 60mm has a higher aperture (and a higher price tag), I am also used to shooting with the 90mm macro with the Nikon…decisions! I must say I did not hate it, the 50mm being more compact than the 90mm would be.

Would you like to join in the regular random crew? Here’s how:

  • choose a subject or a scene
  • spend five minutes photographing it – no more!
  • try to not interfere with the subject, instead see it from many angles, look through something at it, change the light that’s hitting it
  • have fun!
  • tag your post #regularrandom and pingback to this post

Have you checked out Desley’s page recently? She has been doing a bit of a series on some cute little flowers she picked up recently
