Share your World is now apparently in the hands of Spark of a Combustible Mind, I hope it keeps going, as I do enjoy the challenge each week.
When you are old, what do you think children will ask you to tell stories about? If you are ‘old’ (a term with different meanings for everyone); what stories do you tell your grandchildren? I have absolutely no idea to be perfectly honest. I have no grandchildren as yet, my own kids never really asked me to tell stories as such. I have no little ones around me, all my friends’ children are mostly grown as well. I did not live through a war or a depression as such. Perhaps tales of technology…in my day we had a dial phone plugged into a wall socket! HOW SHOCKING!
When did something start out badly for you but in the end, it was great? I really cannot think of anything that started out badly as such. I have a funny story about visiting New Zealand a few years ago! I wanted an overseas holiday, my Hubby did not, he wanted to explore more of Australia. As a compromise, we ended up agreeing on New Zealand. I had no wish to go, not really, I mean it was just so similar to Australia, right? No cultural diversity, the language is the same, the landscape is probably quite similar, it would be just like visiting another State in Oz. I WAS SO WRONG! I adored NZ, it is nothing like OZ, not really, sure the dollar is similar and they speak English, but so much is different, the people were wonderful the scenery was totally amazing, the culture is proud and real and fantastic. I loved it so much, I have been itching to get back….we fly out Feb 2019!!!!!!!!!
What do you think you are much better at than you actually are? Maybe this one’s kinda mean…thoughts? I know I am a terrible singer! I know I am not great with people face to face. I think I know my foibles and know what I need to work on. I hope my skills as a photographer and artists are as good as I think they are, I hope I am not too delusional on that score. I guess the other thing is I think I am a much better writer than I really am, I have that itty bitty shitty voice in the back of my head that tells me I really am quite crappy, but I still write occasionally…I am never going to write a book, I KNOW I am not THAT good, but I still enjoy it and I like re-reading some of my stories.
What would be the worst thing to hear as you are going under anesthesia before surgery? “Oh Man I am SO hungover, I should have stayed at home!”
What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week? Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.
So I have been having a blah week, you know those weeks where you just aren’t feeling it? People tell you, you’re dialling it in? I am sure it is just post Winter blues. My daughter got injured at Basketball the other night, scans and x-rays and we get results tonight, so….I am hoping to say I am grateful it is just a really bad sprain 🙂 They do not think it is broken, but I am worried she has torn a ligament.
On Saturday a friend came over with some flowers and we shot in the studio all afternoon. Another friend loaned me her macro lens for the Sony camera and I got to try and test that out too. Was a great afternoon, followed by a lovely dinner. I hope we can do it again soon.
Til next time, I hope you all have an amazing week…
