Share Your World – 2nd October 2018

Rules

‘I will post four or five different questions each week for you to answer.  There are two ways which you can participate.

  1. Create a SYW  post.  Then post the link to your blog in my comment box or leave your answers in the comments box of my blog.
  2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Share Your World”  and link it to this post.
  3. Remember to Follow My Blog to get your weekly reminders.
  4.  Ping-backs are activated and are working well.  For instructions on how ping-backs work, in case you weren’t certain, please click here.

I usually will respond to your entry on your blog, rather than on my page.”

Questions:

What’s your go-to for unwinding after a stressful event or day?   Can be someone or something – music, pets, family or whatever you choose.

It is more often than not my PC, I can usually find something to edit or create or watch on the PC. Other times it’s a cuppa or cool drink on the back deck in the late afternoon sunshine. Other times it is cuddled up on the couch with the dog watching Netflix (or similar) on the TV.

The plane you’re flying in is going to crash, no survivors.  If you had one song you could listen to before it happens, what would it be?  (credit toNewEpicAuthor for this one).  Please share the link to the song if you can.

Good lord, just one? So, so many. Something soothing? I mean if the plane was going to crash anyway wouldn’t you want something to calm your nerves? Or maybe not, maybe something loud and brash and obnoxious – P!NK – ‘Let’s get the Party’ started or similar? I have several songs I can listen to on repeat but as a final song…maybe ‘Fragile’ by Sting?

What is one thing you’re really, really good at and not ashamed to admit it?  I worded that deliberately because aren’t we taught to be humble and not pushy about our achievements?  Celebrate your ability!

Well there is photography of course, but I guess my superpower is my imagination, I mean loads of people can take a lovely photograph, but I take my imagery to a whole new level. I thrive on the creative concept and I feel in my element there, while other people always ask…HOW?

I believe I am also a very good teacher, educator and mentor, or so people often tell me, my passion translates into an energy I cannot explain, but my mentees and students think it’s contagious, well in part.

Would you rather lose all of your money and valuables or all of the pictures you have ever taken?

Ohhhhhh…tough question! I can always reshoot, but then there are events, places or people I can no longer capture. Money and Valuables? Mmmm I am sort of a materialist person, I guess. I like everything I have worked hard for and would be broken hearted if I lost it all tomorrow. But I guess I could always start again. I am not entirely sure what I would rather loose…terrible conundrum, isn’t it? I guess if I had to choose it would be money.

And lastly

What were you grateful for or something that made you smile during the past month?

Month? Oh my, the week is enough, my month would be endless. I am grateful for everything in my life, my family and friends, my health (well what I have of it), my photography, my business. It seems every week I am blessed with amazing opportunities to create and work with some amazing people. I am grateful for my Hubby and daughters support me (often with lots of humour) in my creative passion, my Hubby often joins me as well.

And sometimes, it is the mundane and simple things in life which bring such joy, like watching, studying and then capturing a butterfly on Spring blossoms, while the sun warms my skin and a gentle breeze cools my skin. Blue skies and Spring sunshine after a long cold winter.

So I guess that is my post for this week. I hope you are having a fantastic week, we have again been graced with Spring Sunshine this week. I am off on another adventure this weekend, possibly my last for a little bit, as I need to knuckle down and get some work done 🙂 but who can say no to a creative girls weekend away?
