A few days late, long weekend, not feeling well and plain forgot about these weeks SYW, until this morning, back at work and time to play catch-up. You did know I frequently write this stuff at work, right?
Is there one post on your site that is really special to you? Not really, I have written so many, literally 1000s, so instead I will link my two most frequented blog posts, and to be honest, I am not exactly sure WHY they are so popular, must have some great info on there;
How Do You Deal With Negative People? I try not to, but that is difficult to accomplish sometimes. It depends on the circumstances if it’s work related I just smile sweetly and agree that their life sucks, try to be sympathetic, I mean there are people who are genuinely having a run of bad luck and then there are the truly negative people. What I really hate are the people who try to make me feel like I am being negative all the time, pisses me off. Sure I am usually a happy upbeat person, but when I want/need a rant, I should be able to without someone telling me to stop being so negative and focus on the positives…really? I believe everyone is entitled to a ‘why me’ every now and then.
What Is The First Thing You Think Of When You Wake In The Morning? Bathroom, always the bathroom, whether it’s me or the dog, sometimes both. I try and kid myself by laying in bed and thinking I am too comfortable to move, but eventually, the bladder wins lol and I have to get out of bed. This morning I wished I could go back to bed.
Would You Rather Be Able To Talk With The Animals Or Speak All Foreign Languages? Easy – animals. I wonder if you could talk to one if you could talk to numerous? Like if I could talk with my dog I could talk with the cat, I think I pretty much know what my dog is thinking, but to talk to her could be cool, but the cat…I would love to know what on earth he is thinking.
For instance on the weekend, just for the hell of it, we grabbed a wooden basket I have full of potpourri and pulled it off the cupboard and onto the floor, he looked at me as he reached out and grabbed the edge of it and then yanked it down. Then Lorded it over me, while I cleaned it up, little shit!
November is a month in which many people give thanks. America (and other countries) celebrate an actual Thanksgiving Day. For example, Canada celebrates this in October.
This month the gratitude question will address your life and what things you’ve received or done, that have brought you joy and sometimes relief perhaps.
What small thing happened today (or in the past few days) that you were grateful for?
After a weekend spent in a great deal of pain with an infected gland in my neck, I am grateful that the pain is slowly subsiding, as is the swelling. I have also just had 5 days off work, and although I was not feeling 100% it was nice just to potter around the house, Moth even got some gardening done. I had two studio sessions, one for a 5-year old Autistic boy and his Mum, which went great and got some truly lovely images for this family. I also had my photographer friend from Ballarat down for a visit, she bought her body painting, makeup extraordinaire daughter, who just moved back from Western Australia and did a fantastic Day of the Dead for us…we also did a few other bits and pieces and had a lovely day together.
And if you are good, you may have noticed the same Hat appeared in both photos 🙂 < I spent several hours on Friday making that hat and another headpiece, it was great to get all crafty, I have not done that in ages.
Anyway, I hope you have an awesome week, well what’s left of it!
