I am running a day late with SYW, mostly as I have been VERY busy putting together a new project (see below), see more from Mel’s page
What’s the most ironic thing you’ve ever witnessed? Surely answering this question should not be as hard as it seems. I for the life of me cannot think of a single ironic thing I have witnessed myself, I can give you countless tales from a 3rd person, but cannot seem to think of one myself? Weird huh?
Let’s talk turkey. Pro or con? If pro, which part do you enjoy most? Is it for Thanksgiving (American Style anyway) only?
Firstly, not American and so not celebrate Thanks Giving, sad but true – perhaps if more of us gave thanks more often the world may be a better place?
But yes, I do like Turkey, I am from English heritage and we eat Turkey for Christmas, I guess way back when it would have been pheasant, but that is SOOOOOOO expensive and Turkey is only slightly less so. I don’t really like the leg or dark meat, actually, no-one in my family does, so we never get a whole turkey, such a waste, instead we get the turkey breast rolls, if we get any, we also do roast chicken and smoked ham or a BBQ, but I digress…occasionally if it is on special we will eat turkey throughout the year as well.
If you’d like, share one thing you wish you’d said to someone else, but now you’ll never have the chance.
I try to never make that mistake, I tell everyone in my life how much I love them, and often. It’s not always reciprocated, but at least I have done my bit. Even when my friend Norm died nearly 10 years ago now, I still got to say my worth, sadly he was in a coma, but I still believe he heard the words and felt me holding his hand.
What odd smell do you really enjoy? Odd Smell? I have no idea, I love the smell of the ocean and chocolate and fresh coffee and freshly baked bread, I love the smell of mango and vanilla and lavender. I do not think they are odd. I cannot think of any odd smells that I like.
Thankful November….share a story or time when someone did something really great for you. Alternatively, share your gratitude moments during this past week.
I am thankful for the swelling and infection on my face that has gown down, it was so painful and uncomfortable. I am still putting up with the icky side affects of the antibiotics though 😦 revisiting the Doctor tonight for a follow-up, but should be all good.
I also started putting together something I have been wanting to do for ages, an online Still Life photography class, I posted about it here this morning, it won’t actually appear on this Blog, but you can jump onto my other blog or my website (details in the post) to join or follow along. Not even sure what sparked me to just do it, just everything in alignment I guess. I put a teaser up yesterday on my Facebook page and have already had lots sign up, so THAT is exciting. I am thankful for the support I receive from people who follow and support my work, every day. I love teaching and this is a natural extension from my workshops, which I will still be running next year.
Til next week, have an awesome week…
