It’s been quite a while since I took some photos of our beloved Miss Chloe, I was enjoying the quiet of late afternoon in the backyard earlier in the week, the weather has been warmer and just sitting and ‘being’ with a cuppa and my camera on the back deck is a most enjoyable pastime, I have been waiting for what seems like forever for these days to come back…it feels like it was such a long cold Winter.
Sadly, since Buddy’s passing a few months earlier Chloe does not enjoy playing in the gardens as much as she used to, and really only goes out if we go with her. She prefers to spend her time while we are out or at work inside with the cats. But on days like this, she is happy to venture into the gardens and keep me company and watch the birds in the creek.
Would you like to join in the RegularRandom crew? Here’s how:
- choose a subject or a scene
- spend five minutes photographing it – no more!
- try to not interfere with the subject, instead see it from many angles, look through something at it, change the light that’s hitting it
- have fun!
- tag your post #regularrandom and ping back to this post
Looking forward to seeing your shots. – Check out Desley’s stunning Peony Macro

Yes. We have thought about a new friend for her, but I am just not ready, and I have no idea how she will handle a pup

I hear you. I don’t think I would be able to do it this time.

It seems we get more attached as we get older

Sometimes it takes a while before you are ready for a new pet in your life. Perhaps if you decide to get one a slightly older dog might be easier for Chloe to deal with, one that is past that energetic puppy stage. The older ones often stay at the shelters longer. On the other hand, a lively pup might give her a new “leash” on life.

After we lost an older dog we wondered if we should get another to keep our one year old dog company but she never seemed lonely as she always thought she was a person anyway.

Our Chloe is very lonely, but never really liked to socialize with other dogs
