Regular Random – Macarons

It has been a while since I did some food photography, I shot some colourful macarons last year, these are vanilla ones, along with a fab new dish I just bought and some lovely soft linen, gave it the old Dark & Moody treatment…

I used both the 50mm Prime lens and the 50mm Macro lens on these beauties, just to capture all the little details, Desley’s Meringues last week reminded me about the fact that I had bought and shot, but not share the photos.

spend five minutes photographing it – no more!
try to not interfere with the subject, instead see it from many angles, look through something at it, change the light that’s hitting it
