Another week, another set of Questions from Melanie
What’s the closest thing you’ve experienced to real magic? Well, there is magic and then there is magic I guess. I often feel magic when I pick up the camera and create something wonderful, then there is the magic I create in Photoshop (bragging huh?), then there is Magic (I often know HOW it’s done, but still love to watch) Penn& Teller and that sort of thing. Then there is Mother Nature, our world is a magical place, get up early and watch a magnificent Autumn Sunrise in the peace and quiet of dawn – tell me that’s NOT MAGIC!
Who is the messiest person you know? And why? My Youngest Daughter likes a lot of clutter, but sometimes I am a bit messy too. However, I do know a lady whose house is such a mess there is a small pathway from the front door through the living area to the kitchen through the junk and rubbish, old (not emptied & washed) milk cartons lying around, food scraps, pizza boxes and even animal droppings littered the floor to at least knee-high. According to her, she didn’t clean because the dust set off her asthma!!!? Apparently, one daughter that she lives with is the same!
If you could know the absolute and total truth to one question, what question would you ask? I have absolutely no idea, WHY ARE WE HERE?
What benefits does art provide society? Does art hurt society in any way? Art provides so many benefits to society, it can provide calm and serenity, it can provide political upheaval and can sway believes in any direction. I do not think the art can be a bad thing, it is perhaps the person creating it, or the intent that can be harmful. I think art, is music for the soul, regardless of its form. There is good art and bad art, what I like you may not and vice versa. For me art gives me a purpose, it gives me calm and serenity. My soul is infused with joy when I am creating, and many other artists I speak to feel the same way, so perhaps if we could all enjoy a little art, whether it is a good or not, can only be a good thing. I feel you should create art because you enjoy it, not for the applause.
What’s something positive you’d like to share? Can be a smile, a joke, or music..anything that gave you a lift this week!
I walked into the kitchen and found Dexter sound asleep like this, must have been playing and fell asleep. Doesn’t look very comfy, but he slept like that for about an hour! 🙂 Silly puppy, so cute and just falls asleep at the drop of a hat, once he has tuckered himself out playing.
And just in case you are over the puppy spam, here is a piece I was really happy with this week, simple yet perfect in just about every facet.
I hope you all are having an amazing week, happy snapping…
