In my backyard, just near the laundry door, I have two amazing pink Bromeliads, it is the shady side of the house and they are fairly happy there, even if a bit cold in Winter. I was taking some washing out to the line and noticed this morning I have two new blooms, they are stunning when so new, but also amazing once the colour has left, so structural. How could I not put down the washing and grab my camera and macro lens for a few minutes?
Even the leaves are pretty cool! I went high F/stop on some (F/2.8) and low on a few others (F/5.0)… more dreamy than totally in focus, but I do love the little points being in focus and the tiny hairs…love it.
Don’t forget to check out Desley’s Money Tree from last week, love the high contrast between the background and the bright green foliage.
Would you like to join in the RegularRandom crew? Here’s how:
- choose a subject or a scene
- spend five minutes photographing it – no more!
- try to not interfere with the subject, instead see it from many angles, look through something at it, change the light that’s hitting it
- have fun!
- tag your post #regularrandom and ping back to this post
Looking forward to seeing your shots.
