Share Your World – 5th Feb 2019

Another week, another set of questions, I didn’t do last week’s questions until the weekend, so I almost feel like I am doubling up, but oh well…I doubt I will be able to do the next few weeks due to travelling. So here are Mel’s questions for this week

What’s wrong but sounds right? Electric Cars? I am not sure, they sound like a great idea, but actually create more pollution in trying to make them than they save, also…where does the electricity come from? Around here just more pollution from coal, not too much renewable energy getting used around here. I guess on the same topic Nuclear Power, I know they say it’s safe and many countries overseas use them, but still… Chernobyl, Fukushima? And no-one wants a reactor in their backyard – right?

What physical action or gesture do you find romantic? These days making me a coffee, offering to get up to let the dog out, the occasional flowers (just coz) that is about as romantic as it comes and I am fine with that. I don’t need any big grand gestures. We actually had our 28th wedding anniversary on Saturday – WOW. We did go to our favourite restaurant for dinner and then spent the night binge watching Netflix and eating popcorn. See totally Romantic 🙂

What’s something you really resent paying for? Totally Taxes, it should be covering the good stuff, but it only ever covers the politicians, I know, I know everyone is complaining about this the world over, but these politicians here in Australia get paid ridiculous amounts of money and if they only serve like one term they get a Retirement Package for the rest of their life. What about Aged Care, What about Health Care, Education, General Services? I mean seriously, don’t get me started.

What’s your favourite romance movie?  A movie you may find romantic, even if that’s not the genre. I am probably not a cliche Romantic Movie person, but I guess there are a few I kind of liked; Titanic, The Princess Bride, Practical Magic, PS I Love You (Bawled my eyes out on that one).

And of course, we have our gratitude of the week question: What were you uplifted by in the past week? It’s been a really tough week and I have been having some terrific support from friends and supporters. Made me see the silver lining in amongst the turmoil and are helping me (possibly without even knowing it) to come out better on the other side. I know life wasn’t meant to be easy and I guess I lost track of things for a bit. Lost my drive and instinct – Karma kicked my butt and I am backtracking and picking myself up and dusting myself off. A few weeks away and then I will be back into things with a vengeance.

I hope you all have an amazing week sorry I won’t be around much the next few weeks, but I will be back soon with some more amazing adventures to tell you.
