Regular Random – Mother & Pup

I have a full post coming up on an amazing day at Cape Palliser, but you will have to be patient, but I was editing these images and thought I would share just a tiny snippet with you.

It was cold, wet and windy as we drove to Cape Palliser lighthouse on a whim, I knew they sometimes had seal sightings here, but I did not expect to see so many or get so close, they wandered right up to the roadside. 100s of them everywhere, so camouflaged by the wet rocks, it was often difficult to see them. I moved quietly and calmly – at one with nature, they knew I meant no harm.

I spent a few minutes just watching this beautiful scene before me, a Mother feeding her Pup. She was not afraid of me and just sat there watching me, as I drank it all in…I even remembered to take some photos, before I moved on and left them to get back to it.

Would you like to join in the RegularRandom crew? Here’s how:

  • choose a subject or a scene
  • spend five minutes photographing it – no more!
  • try to not interfere with the subject, instead see it from many angles, look through something at it, change the light that’s hitting it
  • have fun!
  • tag your post #regularrandom and ping back to this post

Looking forward to seeing your shots.

Don’t forget to visit Desley’s page her last RR was a truly decadent & indulgent bakery spread….looks so yummy!
