Share Your World – 27th March 2019

More questions this week from Sparkosacombustiblemind for the Share Your World weekly challenge, so here we go….

What is the best pick me up that you know of?  To shake you out of the blues? Music is generally what gets me out of a funk, fun music that I just can’t help singing along with or even a little bit of dance too. Pink, or Dixie Chicks, or Elton John…list is endless. I’ll often have music on while I do housework, as it seems to make the work go quicker.

What would be the title of your memoir? I wonder what’s over the next hill? I wonder what’s around the corner? Probably something travel related, or maybe it would be photography related…but I am not sure what could be. “Snapped”, “Gotcha”, “Still Life Moments”. I am not really sure.

Where do you like to go when you eat out? I love Chinese, Thai and Indonesian, but Moth loves his Italian…so we usually go Italian, don’t get me wrong, I adore Italian food, but a little variety is nice too. When all else fails it is usually Burgers! The other problem is, I guess unless we are travelling, we do not eat out that often due to so many food allergies and intolerances, it is just easier to cook and eat at home.

Do you believe in luck? I do, yes. But I also believe that sometimes you need to create your own luck. If you keep doing the same thing over and over and get the same result, nothing will change. You need to take chances and work for what you want. Don’t be afraid to risk the unknown, often it can pay off big dividends. Many years ago, when I first started this blog I had a year of saying YES to every opportunity that came my way, instead of making a thousand excuses and not taking a chance, like I used to. THAT was the MOST incredible year and started me on a journey of discovery and joy. I still say Yes to as many Opportunities as I can, but have also learnt to say No occasionally as well.

Gratitude Question:

Aside from necessities, what is one thing you couldn’t go a day without? So let’s list the necessities first; Air, Water, Food, A Bed to Sleep in, Shower, Coffee…without those basic necessities I doubt I can survive, even while travelling (well the shower while camping for a day or two I can survive without, but not the others.

I guess, my Computer and Smartphone have become such an integral part of my life, I need to have at least one of them. I had no PC while travelling and that was OK, because I had my phone and I can run pretty much everything off my phone. Most people would think my camera, and yes it is a necessity, but I do not also use it EVERY single day, but at least once or twice a week, sure. Especially after such a labour intensive camera trip like New Zealand, and the heavy edit workload, sometimes I lay off the camera for a week or two and then get back into it. Then while I was sick with Shingles I did not even pick up the camera for a solid two weeks!

Still Life-7

This image was taken on my SamsungS9 and edited in IG, and yes that is my trusty camera in the shot, Moth says it looks like a toy, it’s so tiny, but BOY can it take a photo with impact! But then again, it’s all about what you do with what you have that counts too 🙂

Feeling a little more like myself this week…I hope you are having a great one too.
