Fabulous Friday flowers, last of my red roses

My Daughter bought big bunches of flowers for me for Mother’s day and I have been trying to capture as many images as I can, It was morning and the sun was very bright through the window, so I had the blinds drawn shut, there was a tiny slither of light escaping via the side, which was just hitting my flowers and casting a mini shadow, amidst the deep shadows in the scene.

I then completely blocked all the direct light and just shot with ambient in the room, soft, flat light and dark shadows…just perfect.

The roses have not opened, but I have cut the stalks and hung them up to dry, should be a beautiful deep burgundy or dark pink once dry.
