Monday’s musings…

Oh my gosh, what a wonderful weekend, I am not sure where to even begin. I spent an entire weekend being completely self-indulgent, no work, no responsibilities, I didn’t even cook!

We had been enjoying a few days of beautiful Winter weather, blue skies, sunshine, light winds and warmer temperatures, so lovely after the cold wet days and frosts, so on Friday Hubby and I headed out to Healesville Sanctuary, one of Melbourne’s three zoos. Healesville is all about Australian native animals, birds and reptiles and protecting and saving our endangered species.

Then on Saturday was the day I got to go to Promoting Passion 2019, Hosted by none other than Brooke Shaden, to say I was star struck is an understatement, Brooke is instrumental in helping me be where I am today, through her I found Digital Art, through her I found Conceptual Art, through her I started taking portraits, through Brooke I started to find my voice. So, while we are poles apart artistically, we shared a common bond. I also met other’s who felt the same way, I was part of this community of dreamers and creatives, it felt good to belong. People who understood my dark parts and my happy moods. It’s not every day you get to meet a hero. But more on that later. I need to go through images and digest information, take it all in.

Sunday, was a meetup, this time Melbourne Zoo with creatives who visited Melbourne for the conference yesterday and a few other visitors and Melbournites, to revel in yesterday, but a good old catch up with friends. We spent quite a while in the Butterfly House, then a cuppa and finally time to bid a few goodbyes. Hubby and I stayed on to explore the Zoo a bit longer, eventually, it was time to say goodbye ourselves, real life beckons. I will post more images soon, for now, this will have to do…

As you can imagine I have LOTS of editing to do, so I will leave this here and post some more pics soon…
