I recently did a quick mini photoshoot, normally I work my way through an image and only show the end result, but this day I decided to show from the initial photo, through the end and final three photos. The plate and the main cherries did not move, just me the camera, the linen, the fork and the additional cherries…so it is a small departure from our normal rules 🙂
Love this new hand made stoneware plate, so rustic, but not overpowering.
Would you like to join in the RegularRandom crew? Here’s how:
Version 1:
- choose a subject or a scene
- spend five minutes photographing it – no more!
- try to not interfere with the subject, instead see it from many angles, look through something at it, change the light that’s hitting it
- have fun!
- tag your post #regularrandom and ping back to this post
Version 2:
- choose an object
- spend five minutes photographing it – no more!
- put the object in different locations to see how the background or surroundings can change the way the object looks
- have fun!
- tag your post #regularrandom and ping back to this post
Looking forward to seeing your shots. Did you check out Desley’s cupcakes from last week? yummo!
I liked the changes in lighting. Very pretty, too…..just red and white. I should try this at home.

Oh, Julz—mine is most definitely the ‘before’ and yours is the ‘this is how it is done.’ 🙂 I don’t have the lighting, or the pretty plate….this was a good exercise for me. I will continue to admire your wonderful work.

We all started somewhere…its taken lots of practice to get where I am, and should not always compare yourself to others, but thank you
