Share your world – 13th August 2019

As promised, this week sees a more humorous Share Your World, from Melanie.   Because laughter purportedly is the best medicine! Yes, I have to agree it is! I am trying to get back into the swing of things this week. I felt like I was hibernating while I was sick and let things slide a little, only natural I’m sure. So this week I feel like I am getting back on top of things. I think I am a bit of a control freak and don’t like it when I lose control. But, I am rambling…

QUESTIONS:

What makes you laugh? Often silly things, slapstick comedies will do it, rude jokes, I am one of those horrible people that laugh when someone falls down. Those silly dogs and cat videos always make me giggle. Even our pup Dexter will often make me laugh.

What’s the world coming to?  (Credit to Mel of Crushed Caramel…) Probably no good, but let’s keep this upbeat. For me, Spring is only a few weeks away, I am looking forward to all the blooms and some warmer weather. Really looking forward to visiting gardens, and I hope to catch the cherry trees this year.

If over time you replace parts on a car, at what point does it stop being the same car you bought? How many parts do you need to replace to make it a new car? When it starts costing more than the car is worth, it’s time to look at updating. This is a good question, however. As a kid my parents bought a new car, that thing spent more time getting repaired, than they did drive it. Total lemon, it has forever tainted that brand for me and my family, lol. Eventually, Dad had enough and sold it. A mate of Dad’s offered to buy it, Dad tried to warn him off, but he still wanted it. That damn car never skipped a bit again, he had it for years!

Gratitude is an attitude.   Yea or nay?   Explain your viewpoint, please!  I think it is an attitude. I find people are so rude these days and just trying to help out a family member or friend can often end in stress and ungratefulness. Let alone trying to help out a stranger. Sometimes a random act of kindness is accepted and appreciated and that makes me feel good too, but when you try and be nice and it is slammed in your face, some days it’s a bit hard to take. However, I always try to be courteous and grateful to others. I acknowledge people, whether they serve me coffee, take payment for petrol or groceries or cut me off on the freeway (the last one may not always be polite, but I DO acknowledge them lol). DO NOT, however, under ANY circumstances call my home or mobile and try and sell me something, especially in the evening – you may find me NOT so friendly!

This week I bought some bright yellow daffodils, needed some Spring colour…aren’t they pretty?

I hope you are all having a marvelous week…
