Croissants – three different ways

In a recent workshop I taught, we had these croissants, which I sliced in half, filled with Nutella and fresh strawberries and then we dusted with icing sugar. We captured the icing sugar in action by using a studio flash.

Sadly as good as they look, once we finished shooting we actually threw them in the bin, considered wastage, A) various people had been touching them, B)but no one in my house can eat them! I told people at the workshop if they wanted them to take them, but none did. It’s funny, people think they are depriving me of food and even flowers. I have so many workshops I can’t use it all…it is all their for THEIR benefit, not mine. Oh well…I can at least enjoy the flowers for a few days!
