Share your world – 27th August 2019

After spending a long weekend with my daughter who I have not seen in almost a year, I am relaxed, happy and grateful that I got to spend time with her and her husband and their furbabies. Grateful they are only a short plane ride away, grateful I have the means to travel, grateful technology makes it easy to connect.

So let’s get on with this week’s questions from Melanie…

QUESTIONS:

If you had to sum up the whole human species in 3 words, what would those words be? Unless we can do something and soon I feel we are all…

  • Doomed
  • Undeserving
  • resilient

Where is the strangest place you’ve relieved yourself?  Obviously in an emergency situation. Oh dear…well there has been out in the bush, while camping and such. A few times near the side of the road while travelling, find a tree. I sound like such a heathen lol. Fortunately, there are restrooms, albeit ‘drop dunnies’ in most places nowadays. Now…once upon a time I was locked out of my own house, my neighbours were not home and things were getting urgent. I figure the dogs pee so…Don’t think badly of me I was desperate lol.

What is the worst smelling place you’ve ever been? Technically it was not me as such. My Hubby does maintenance on specialised machinery and items and frequently needs to do emergency callouts. Quite a few years ago he got called out in the middle of the night to a chemical factory. Nothing new there. When he got home, he thought his clothes smelt so he took them off in the laundry and threw them in the washing machine (so kind of him), he then proceeded to get back in bed. The stench of him was so bad it woke me, dry retching from the smell. I made him have a shower while I changed the sheets (they had already begun to stink) while I aired the house out, at some ridiculous hour of the morning. He did not realise just HOW bad the smell was until the next morning (now all clean and smelling sweet himself), he opened the door to the work truck and almost vomited from the smell himself! Thankfully he has never been there since.

How drunk is drunk enough? Drunk enough for what, to feel numb, to have fun, to get up to mischief? Not sure I really understand the question. I am not a big drinker, but I do fancy the odd cocktail and I love a good margarita or daiquiri. I have recently found a White Moscato whine I can enjoy and drink without making me sick… so many are filtered with egg or milk products. I am also a cheap drunk, a couple of glasses goes straight to my head. I giggle a bit and then usually fall asleep. Probably why I do not drink that often. lol

Gratitude Is An Attitude!

If you’d like, please list five things that are priceless to you.

  1. My Hubby
  2. My Daughters
  3. My animals
  4. My Family and Friends
  5. My sense of adventure and creativity

You thought I would say camera gear, didn’t you? I almost did, but while I cannot live without it, it is not priceless, I would happily upgrade my camera tomorrow and not give it a second thought, so obviously NOT priceless, just pricey!
