I hosted an afternoon workshop at The Potterage back in May, such a wonderful afternoon and the class sold out so quickly, I decided another held in Spring would be wonderful…and it was. We had perfect weather, nice and sunny, light winds and warmer temperature, without being too hot. It was a slightly smaller class this time around and I spent a bit of time chatting to everyone, some I had never met before.
We all wandered around capturing the delights of the Potterage, a few new additions (2 new bedrooms – more for AirBnB than photography), a new gardeners sink and some fresco paintings on the back walls. We had an impromptu Macro Class on the back terrace in the sunshine and a wonderful afternoon tea, which was laid out while the others watched Puffing Billy (an iconic local Steam Train), pass through the bottom of the garden.
I must admit I think there was more colour with the leaves etc in May, but the Spring flowers were still pretty.
It’s been so nice to offer something unique and pretty to my students and may come back here again one day, but for now, I think we have seen the best of the Potterage for 2019 and I will look for other locations to offer next year.

It looks like a wonderful venue for your course. I’d have loved the chance to use it for a photoshoot some years ago, given a TARDIS!

Nice photos and great colours. Ahh Spring, must be nice.
20 cm of snow here last night. Didn’t even stick to the trees which would have made for some great opportunities for the camera.
Seven more months and I’ll be caught up to Spring.
