Day 3
We woke to grey skies but the rain had mostly stopped, just a few occasional random drops here and there. We made our way over to Sea Lake and the newest of the Silo Art only completed a few weeks ago, as well as some local street art as well.

Then onto Lake Tyrrell, another on my Bucket List for this trip. Sadly due to the drought, there was not much water in the lakes and a LOT of walking through the mud was required to get to the water’s edge. Ironically due to all the rain the day before, the dirt round circumnavigating the lake were all closed off! So we could not drive around to any other locations…frustrating but happy to finally have visited here and caught some reflections…perhaps will come back another time.
Next stop was Rosebery and then finally Nullawil for the last two stops for Silo Art on this trip, Nullawil was another silo I was very keen to see this trip, just beautiful.
Eventually leaving the Wimmera area and heading back to Mallee country we stopped at Lake Taylor to check out a spot for sunset and sunrise, before finding our hotel and dinner.

After dinner, we stopped for what we hoped would be a spectacular sunset, but the great afternoon clouds had mostly disappeared, it was pretty but not much colour.
Finally, as it had gotten quite cold and windy, we headed back to our nice warm room.

Thanks Daniel. They occur all over the region, generally from where flooding has occured of damming rivers have changed the course of them and the lake system. They do make for dramatic images
